Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD) is pleased to welcome its newest featured artist to Gallery TEDD, watercolor artist Gail Johannes. This is the second time that the work of Johannes has graced the walls of Gallery TEDD. There are twenty two framed pieces on public display through the month of June, as well as unframed prints and note cards, all of which are available for purchase.
Johannes divides her artistic endeavors between studio work and teaching watercolor painting. “I frequently travel to meet and learn from notable watercolorists who teach around the world. I bring home new inspiration, and work new techniques and ideas into my classes” says Johannes. She also states that there is a strong social movement embracing the creative side of the arts with boomers and older adults benefitting disproportionately to other age groups- it is good for aging brains, like learning another language.
