Season 6, Episode 3: The All-Nancy Episode!

  Kevin and Tony wrestle with the question of why this episode is called “All Nancy.” Is it a reference to the old “Nancy” comic strip, with its hard, heavy boundary lines? Or because the episode’s segments all take place in the city of Nancy, France? But do they? No. So who is “Nancy”? Listen and learn why she very much does live up to all the “Nancy” hype. First there’s “Chester Hedridge’s Worthy Opponents,” in which Chester tries to defeat Nancy at parking and boxing. Given the episode’s title, we can guess who prevails. Then, the return of the classic, “Fiona Lynch’s Irish Burrito Stand and Backyard Boxing Gym”--yes, more boxing, and more Nancy! Next, further enhancing Nancy, we have “Who’s Making a Hash of Quantum Theory Today?” Who isn’t?, you may ask, but this time it’s Nancy making the hash, because Marketing trumps Science, of course. Finally, “Mel and Karnak,” one of whom is Nancy, go to a poetry/poultry slam. What’s the difference between the two? Is there a difference? You decide, and then go straight to your blog or whatever you call your bleak outpost in social media, have a cigar, and put it on your tab, for Nancy.
