From the Studio: African Christmas from Sironka

The Friends of Sironka, a group of East Africa's Maasai people who tour to showcase their villages' spectacular dance, chanting and jumping contests, have been living and working in Spokane this month.  They are led by Nicholas Sironka, a Fulbright Scholar and visual artist who taught at Whitworth College.

In the 10 a.m. hour, Verne features their singing and music ahead of their Bing Crosby Theater performance Thursday night, and talks about how they honor their rich history of music, dance, and storytelling by sharing it with other cultures.
