The Spokane String Quartet will present their second concert this weekend, and this time they are joined by a couple of special guests, flutist Alaina Bercilla and pianist Roger McVey. Alaina stopped by the studio today to talk with Verne about the program, which includes Mozart's String Quartet No. 18 in A Major, K. 464, Tientos for flute and strings by Ian Krouse, and Bohuslav Martinu's Trio for Flute, Cello, and Piano.
Alaina and Verne talked about her past musical experiences, why she chose the pieces that are on the program, as well as the challenging and engaging components of playing those particular pieces. The Spokane String Quartet's concert will be this Sunday, November 15th at 3:00pm at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox.
