From the Studio: Christian Community Theater Presents "Fiddler on the Roof"

The second of today's theater double header was represented by the fine folks of Christian Community Theater, which is affiliated with Christian Youth Theater (CYT) North Idaho.  Our very own staff member Janean Jorgensen, who is in charge of SPR's marketing, plays the part of Golde in this production, which is directed by Kim Roberts.  Both of them were joined in the studio by Chuck Ethridge (playing Tevye), Cambria Ravsten (music director), Beth Taylor (pianist), and Sergei Ethridge (dancer).  Verne chatted with all about this iconic show, which runs for one weekend only at University High School starting tomorrow, Thursday, July 14th at 7:00pm.

There will be five shows over four days--Thursday, July 14 at 7:00pm, Friday, July 15 at 7:00pm, Saturday, July 16 at 3:00 and 7:00pm, and Sunday, July 17 at 3:00pm.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
