From the Studio: Spokane Civic Theatre presents "You Can't Take It with You"

Spokane Public Radio

Director David Baker and actors Dallan Starks, Athena Lauzon and Audrey Overstreet of Spokane Civic Theatre took to the mic to give us the details on their production of the classic stage comedy “You Can’t Take It with You,” in which a young woman from a good-humored but eccentric family becomes engaged to a man from a family of Wall Street snobs— and upon meeting, the two households clash.

Performances will be at 7:30 PM on January 25 & 26 as well as 2 PM on January 27, with more showtimes each week through February 17.

This play is rated PG-13 and may require some parental guidance.

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
