From the Studio: Tim Westerhaus and "The Might of Bach"

Tim Westerhaus joined Verne in the studio today to talk about this weekend's "The Might of Bach" performance at the St. John's Cathedral. This concert features three works by J.S. Bach - his Violin Concerto in E Major, BWV 1042; Cantata 100, Was Gott Tut, das ist wohlgetan; and Cantata 80, Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott. This concert is really special, as Tim notes, because of the chamber-like performance setting. The cantatas feature tutti movements (everyone together, including choir, orchestra, and continuo) as well as feature movements with vocal and instrumental soloists (e.g., soprano, flute, and continuo).

"The Might of Bach: An Autumn Concert" is this Sunday, October 4th at 3:00pm at St. John's Cathedral in Spokane.
