In three episodes of The Bookshelf Chris Maccini brings one of Spokane's favorite events, Pie and Whiskey to the radio. Pie and Whiskey Radio features poems,  stories and essays read by local authors selected from the new Pie and Whiskey book which will be released at a special Pie and Whiskey event in Spokane on October 26th, 2017.

Pie and Whiskey co-founder Samuel Ligon describes the event, 

Uncharted is an annual collaboration between Spokane Symphony, Terrain, and local artists. This year's presentation, on April 14th and 15th, will feature a new way to experiencing Vivaldi's classic The Four Seasons

Violinists Mateuz Wolski and Jenny Anne Mannan, Terrain Co-Founders Luke Baumgarten and Ginger Ewing and writer Shawn Vestal spoke with Verne this morning to talk about the innovative program. 

According to Terrain's Facebook post, "Uncharted Territory is a first-of-its-kind collaboration and fundraiser between the Spokane Symphony and Terrain, pairing some of Spokane’s most inspiring emerging musicians, thespians and authors with the full force and might of the Spokane Symphony." Conductor Jorge Uzcatagui, Charles Pepiton from the Gonzaga University Theater Department and Cameron La Plante of the Flying Spiders spoke with Verne this morning to introduce the program.
