Event Description

Ice Age Floods Institute Talk

In conjunction with the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture's current exhibit, "Titans of the Ice Age: Mammoths and Mastodons," this program, led by Ice Age Floods Institute President Dr. Gary Ford, will review some of the evidence for the Ice Age floods by following them "downstream" from western Montana to the Pacific Ocean. He will talk about some present-day Pacific NW landscapes that are the direct result of multiple Ice Age floods that happened between ca. 15,550 and 13,350 radiocarbon years B.P.
