This experiential 2-day workshop empowers participants to approach conflict in new and creative ways. Join certified facilitators to build community, decrease violence, and increase peace. We draw on the shared experience of participants, using interactive exercises, discussions, and games to examine new ways to respond to difficult situations.
The Spokane Watercolor Society's annual Juried National Show had entries from across the nation. Juried by National Award-Winning Artist, David R. Smith, over $1500 in cash and product awards will be presented at the Awards Reception on May 16 from 2:30-5:00 p.m. Admission is free to the Helen South Alexander Gallery (annex) and it is a great "friends and family" activity.
How do we keep our artistic enthusiasm alive? With Artistic Fresh Air! The Spokane Watercolor Society was founded in 1952 by a group of 12 professional artists. Our new SWS members have given us a breath of fresh air — Artistic Fresh Air. This exhibit is to showcase their talents and honor their contribution to the SWS. Sherry Syrie is a mixed media artist and middle school art educator who is currently exploring abstract mixed media landscapes. She finds interesting images & materials to piece together in unique ways to create clean, beautiful, and original pieces.
Suzan LeDoux is a printmaker whose work is primarily inspired by the natural world and the beauty of flora & fauna. Through carving, she aims to capture the textures we observe in nature, and the intricate details that often go unnoticed.

Avenue West Gallery hosts it's monthly First Friday Art Walk event featuring hand crafted metal art from Jamieson Kelly, paintings from Leela Francis and live music from Jonathan Nicholson. Parking is free. Some light refreshments available.
Featured artists' work will be up throughout the month of June. Regular gallery hours are 11:00 am to 4:00pm Thursday through Saturday.

First Friday at The Gallery Entropy (101 N Stevens) presents Objets Vibrant: The Te of Trash. A solo exhibition by Dario Ré that explores material animacy through found art and assemblage. Artist Reception June 5, 5-9pm with a musical performance by Dario's electronic duo project Mačka Moon at 7pm. Show runs through June 29.

Please join us First Friday, June 5th, in bringing some levity and laughter to our community. This is our 2nd annual show with a theme of humor and we expect it to be as fun and fantastic as last year's. This show is the brainchild of our art collective member, Diane Rowen Garmire. We will be featuring the work of several local artists and gallery members. Bring a friend or 2 and please share this event with those who will enjoy an evening of lighthearted fun.

The Lewis and Clark High School Jazz Bands will perform live at Brick West Brewing on Friday, June 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for an evening of music, food, and community support.
A portion of drink sales during the event will be donated to support the Lewis and Clark High School Jazz bands. The event is open to all ages and will feature performances by the school’s talented student jazz musicians throughout the evening.
Guests can also enjoy food available for purchase from the 509 Dine food truck and Yo Dumplings.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for gift certificates donated by local businesses.
Community members are encouraged to bring family and friends, enjoy great music, and support local student musicians in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
