Regional Correspondent

The Northwest News Network (of which Spokane Public Radio is a partner) is looking for an individual with strong news reporting skills to produce network-quality news and feature reports. This person will work with a regional news team to gather, write, and produce spots and features for radio and digital platforms about the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene region for nine NPR affiliates in WA, OR, and ID.

The Inland Northwest correspondent travels weekly to Boise for at least two months annually to cover the Idaho legislative session.

The correspondent is expected to collaborate and lead major projects, file for a national audience, and be a leading presence and news source on social media and digital platforms.

The correspondent will be an employee of Northwest Public Radio, which expects the correspondent’s journalism to be competitive for national awards.

Position is located in the Spokane, WA/Coeur d’Alene ID area.
