Thank you to all who came to the Recordings & Videos Sale on Feb. 21 and 22. The sale proved to be one of our biggest yet, with hundreds of collectors shopping through hundreds of thousands of LPs, CDs, DVDs and more. All proceeds will go to programming on KPBX, KSFC, and KPBZ.
The annual sale depends on donations of reusable recordings from listeners and the community; SPR generally begins accepting donations in the Fall. Volunteers sort the items into general categories, including Rock, Classical, and Folk. Volunteers also test out donated equipment to make sure everything is in working order.
The 2015 Sale took place at the Lincoln Center, 1316 N Lincoln Street in Spokane. All single digital items started at $4, records at $3.
Admission is free thanks to event donors Design Spike, Music Corner inside Pawn One, and Strong Solutions. Thanks also to The Lincoln Center, The Salvation Army, Spokane Movers, Earthworks Recycling, Craven’s Coffee Co., Rocket Bakery, Rings & Things Event Recycling, Music City, 4000 Holes, The Long Ear, Bicycle Time & Music Too, and the Hot Club of Spokane.
