May is Bike Everywhere Month, and Spokane Public Radio was proud to once again be a Gold Wheel Sponsor, highlighting bike commuting to work, school, and everywhere!
Spokane's events are organized by the Spokane Bicycle Club. There will be a number of events throughout the month, and a calendar is available at SpokaneBikes.org. Find Spokane Public Radio staff and volunteers at these events:
Monday, May 14, 7am-9am
Kick-off Breakfast @ Riverfront Park, Spokane Falls Blvd at Post
Kick off a week of bike commuting with pancakes, coffee, and live music. Meet other bike commuters, and hear what leaders in our community are doing to make Spokane a better and safer bike community.
Tuesday, May 15, 7am-9am
Energizer Station @ Historic Fire Station #3, Monroe and Sharp
Join SPR staffers and volunteers for a cup of Craven's Coffee and a snack as you make your way to work and school.
Friday, May 18, 5:30pm-7:30pm
Wrap-up Party @ River City Brewing, 121 S. Cedar
Wrap up the week in style with free beer and pizza thanks to generous Bike to Work Week sponsors. We'll be there with information about upcoming events and to help give away door prizes.
