Damage from Wellesley or Yale Road Fires? County Wants To Know

Office of the Governor

Spokane County residents suffering damage from the two fires now known as the Spokane Complex Fires are advised to contact Greater Spokane Emergency Management.

GSEM has posted damage assessment forms for owners an announced today they have damage assessment forms for homeowners, renters, and businesses.

"The information you provide will be used to identify unmet needs and seek appropriate assistance through community resources to those who qualify," GSEM said in a statement.

The announcement comes as Gov. Jay Inslee proclaimed a state of emergency for 20 counties, including Spokane, Stevens, and Lincoln. Inslee toured the two fires of the Spokane Complex area today.

“These fires threaten people, property and the natural resources of Eastern Washington,” Inslee said. “This proclamation frees up state resources so we can provide the assistance that these communities might need. This is a time for all Washingtonians to come together.”
