Dr. Zorba Paster visits Spokane

"America's Favorite Family Doc" enjoyed his visit to Spokane very much, and showed his appreciation for the warm welcome both in his evening talk and on his Facebook page. The host of Zorba Paster On Your Health spoke at the Bing on Thursday, October 9 at 7 p.m. on his 5-4-3-2-1 steps for a healthier life, answered health questions, and signed autographs afterwards.

On a bike ride with KPBX staffers Ann Torigoe-Hawkins and Wilma Flanagan, Zorba Paster stopped to enjoy the fall colors.

Verne Windham acted as host for the event, introducing Dr. Paster (and commenting on the Doc's amazing energy levels) and moderating the final Q&A session. Zorba is a family doctor, practicing and mentoring medical students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He and Tom Clark dive into the complexities of healthy living each week on Zorba Paster On Your Health, which airs Wednesdays at noon on KPBX and Sundays at noon on KSFC.

Paster's "5-4-3-2-1" advice includes getting 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily, following the four pillars of financial health, having three close friends, and limiting screen time to two hours daily.

Special thanks to event donors The Cleaning Authority, Design Spike, Sam Rodell Architect, and Sayre & Sayre Attorneys at Law.
