Tim "Too Slim" Langford wails in his special 2015 benefit concert for Spokane Public Radio.

The Inland Northwest has rocked out to Tim "Too Slim" Langford's edgy blues for almost three decades. The rest of the world has discovered this band originally from Spokane, but Tim is still happy to come back with a special benefit concert for Spokane Public Radio. Langford's group, "Too Slim and the Taildraggers," performed a mix of acoustic blues at the Bing on Thursday, June 11.

The concert was SPR's annual Underwriter & Volunteer Thank-You event, where those involved with the station since May 2014 received a free pair of tickets. Thanks to Event Donors Vino! A Wine Shop and Northern Quest Resort and Casino.

"If it is possible to be a natural-born guitarist, Langford fits the description." Rick Allen, Vintage Guitar Magazine

Drummer Jeff "Shakey" Fowlkes and bassist Eric "Stretch" Hanson both came from Nashville to play the SPR gig with Too Slim.

Each of Too Slim and the Taildraggers' last four studio releases have charted in the Top 10 and Heat Seeker Chart. Tim Langford has received Lifetime Achievement and Hall of Fame awards by three Northwest Blues Societies, as well as more than 40 Regional and National Music Awards.

Tim Langford was joined by drummer and vocalist Jeff "Shakey" Fowlkes (Robert Bradleys Black Water Surprise, Kid Rock, Uncle Kraker) and Nashville bassist Eric "Stretch" Hanson as the newest members of the trio.
