From the Studio: Spokane Civic Theatre Presents "Evil Dead: The Musical"

This Wednesday was a theater double-header with interviews and performances by members from Spokane Civic Theatre and Stage Left  Theater, which both have shows opening this Friday, October 16th.

Spokane Civic Theatre will open their fall production of Evil Dead: The Musical on Friday, October 16th at 7:30pm in the Studio Theatre (the basement venue, as opposed to the Main Stage).  Verne interviewed Troy Nickerson (director/choreographer), Tanya Barton (playing Annie), and Martin Sanks (playing Ash), but there was also a performance of a couple selections from the show by Whitney Husky (playing Cheryl), Talena Kelln (playing Linda), and Alex Edmonds (playing Scott), accompanied by music director Chris Beazer.  Tickets are available now

Verne Windham got his start at Spokane Public Radio 20 years ago. “I came in to complain and they hired me.” He’s now the Program Director, as well as the host of Morning Classical and Concert of the Week. When choosing music for Morning Classical, Verne likes to keep the agenda as broadly defined as possible. For Concert of the Week, he focuses on the best of recent local performances, mostly classical in nature. For many years, Verne was also the conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra. He enjoys gardening, his vintage car and playing French horn.
