The Art Spirit Gallery

This morning Verne was joined in the studio by Jadd Davis and Henry McNulty from the Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre to talk about several upcoming events.  On March 10 and 11 Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre present "Living Through The Fire" at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center.  This original show about the big burn of 1910 which has been seen by over 10,000 students as part of the "CST on the Road" educational program.

This morning we heard archive recordings of interviews with artist Harold Balazs and Art Spirit Gallery founder, the late Steve Gibbs.  An exhibition of Balazs' work, "One More Time", will run from January 13 through February 4, 2017 at The Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d'Alene.

Today in the studio, Verne talked with Steve Gibbs, owner of The Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d'Alene, as well as Charles Buck, Associate Vice President of the University of Idaho - Coeur d'Alene.  They discussed a new collaboration between the two entities to stabilize, grow, and enhance the gallery, embracing the for-profit gallery and adding an educational component.

This morning Verne invited us to join him in the visual art sector of Spokane with the current exhibition at The Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d'Alene.  Allen and Mary Dee Dodge, Coeur d'Alene artists, have a unique personal and artistic history that comes through in their collaborative pieces.  Their work will be exhibited May 13th through June 4th at The Art Spirit Gallery.
