Spokane Civic Theatre will present Shakespeare's  Romeo & Juliet: A Concert Reading from November 3-4, 2017. Director and cast members spoke with Verne this morning about the play. 

Pam Kingsley plays "the Nurse", Gary Pierce plays "Friar Lawrence", Lenny Bart is the director and plays "Romeo".

From the Studio: Psycho Beach Party

Psycho Beach Party is opening at the Spokane Civic Theater on Friday the 13th of October. Cast members Rushele Herrmanns as Chicklet and Jason Johnson as Mrs. Forrest with director Jerry Scarrio visit the studio for an interview with Verne Windham.

This show co-features an interview and performance by Dawn Wolski, General Director , Opera Coeur d'Alene and Sandra Piques Eddy who plays Carmen in the upcoming Coeur d'Alene Opera and Spokane Symphony co-production of Carmen. Wolski also plays Frasquita, a companion of Carmen. 

West Side Story

Angela Pierson and Duncan Menzies play Anita and Tony respectively. In today's performance they sing the songs Something's Coming and A Boy Like That.

Spokane Civic Theatre Academy will present the musical Wanda's World opening July 21, 2017.  Director Preston Loomer, cast members Molly Mickey and Jillian Selley and Civic Theatre artistic director Lenny Bart visited the KPBX studio to talk about the show and the Civic Theater's Academy educational programs.

Jean Hardie, Molly Allen and Matthew Harget joined Verne in the studio this morning to discuss the 29th Playwrights' Forum Festival at the Spokane Civic Theater. The festival will open on Thursday, June 8, 2017 and features eight one-act plays performed in rotation on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through June 17th. 

Director, Melody Deatherage and Music Director, Henry McNulty, along with cast members Tami Knoell (Lilli Vanessi/Katharine) and Daniel McKeever (Fred Graham/Petruchio) visited with Verne this morning to introduce Spokane Civic Theatre's upcoming production of Kiss Me Kate
